WestJet Client Video

ROLE: STORYBOARD ARTIST, LEAD MOTION DESIGNER, ASSOCIATE WRITER

For this project we needed to create a pitch to WestJet for a consumer-side rewards app to help their customers manage their flight info and check-ins easier, as well as earn rewards and benefits just for being loyal customers of WestJet. 

My role on this project was as the lead motion designer and storyboarder. With the app mockups we created for the pitch and a loose script, I was tasked with animating the video and screenshots to tell the story and help guide the language and sell the pitch right.

I wanted to use a strong focus on their brand colours and warm, gentle motion and language that would appeal to families looking to fly with safe, friendly staff to help sell the pitch to the clients and show that we really understand their clientele - and so I based the video and message around showing off a rewards app that reflects an understanding of that. The clean, smooth animations and imagery of the sky really hit home with them and we successfully brought their brand alive through motion and were soon working on the app in collaboration with them.
