Easyfinancial App Launch Video
ROLE: DIRECTOR, STORYBOARD ARTIST AND LEAD MOTION DESIGNER
This project came about as a part of the process to build a finance app for GoEasy, a company that specialized in loans. As the final build of the app was being prepared, I was brought in to look over the work of the design team and acclimate myself to the language of the app and brand, and mirror that in a launch announcement video that would both excite viewers and entice them to check out the app. Using their signature green alongside a strong contrasting element with their blue and white, I went with an approach that blended a touch of 3D with 2D motion graphics and a strong focus on typography and the app screenshots themselves to drive the visual focus and draw the eye around the screen.
This was an interesting project for me as it was one of the first projects I had at Intersect, and also one of the first times I had the directorial lead on a project. Looking back, in hindsight it's always been a fun challenge to blend my own design and director sensibilities with a company's established brand and this was one of the first times I really got to get in there and try a bunch of things to elevate the production beyond a simple announcement. With a few rounds of feedback it was shaped into a tasteful yet colourful representation of what the company's new product had to offer and I couldn't be more pleased with the result.
