Getting to Know OpenText Cloud

ROLE: STORYBOARD ARTIST AND LEAD MOTION DESIGNER

"Getting to Know OpenText Cloud" was a project that came about a little after a really large acquisition by OpenText in 2023, when they absorbed MicroFocus. It was a time where we were integrating a lot of new products from the MicroFocus family into the OpenText side of things and so there was worry that that might lead to confusion on the part of the customers as to what piece of software was now responsible for which parts of the process and how they would navigate all this.

Therefore the goal here was to use typography and b-roll clips to help introduce new customers to the flow of our apps and what the OpenText Cloud can offer them, as well as reassure and guide existing clients into the new structure so no one was left behind or left confused. The hope was at the very least it could answer some of the questions that existing clients had and would serve as a natural jumping off point for them to get into contact with us if they had further concerns. The video was well-received overall and stayed strongly rooted in OpenText's signature blue and white branding - this was very important for this project in particular to help bring all of these new products in and associate them directly with our signature colours and bring it all under one umbrella.
